About Beyond the Bias

Beyond the Bias is a small but ambitious social enterprise working with young people aged 16+ across London. We design creative, practical programmes that help young people build skills, confidence and real connections — from accredited qualifications to creative societies and employability workshops.

We’re still a young organisation, which means we’re looking for someone who’s excited to join early on, help us problem-solve, shape new ideas and grow with us. If you want to be part of something that’s developing fast and making a meaningful impact, you’ll fit right in.

We believe in removing barriers, celebrating individuality, and opening up access to real opportunities. Everything we do is about helping young people thrive in education, work and life.

About the Role

You’d be joining a small team made up of one other full-time colleague and three part-time colleagues — which means you’ll get a lot of hands-on experience and plenty of exposure to the Director. It’s a fantastic role if you want to learn quickly, take ownership and genuinely see your work making a difference.

This role blends coordination, facilitation, data monitoring, creativity and stakeholder engagement. No two days are the same. You’ll help organise and lead workshops, manage sign-ups, update our systems, speak with partner organisations, and support sessions from the first form being submitted to the final celebration event.

What You’ll Be Doing

Employment Programmes

  • Keep our CRM and spreadsheets updated, tracking attendance, progress and key outcomes.

  • Build positive relationships with local colleges, partners and community groups to boost referrals and sign-ups.

  • Create sign-up forms, follow-up emails and resources that make joining our programmes simple and welcoming.

  • Deliver and co-facilitate workshops on employability, digital skills and everyday life skills.

  • Think creatively about how to reach more young people, including new outreach or marketing ideas.

Workshops & Societies

  • Support the delivery and actual facilitation of our in-house societies and creative workshops (like Creative Society and Calm Collective).

  • Help plan and prepare sessions — from slides to handouts to activity sheets.

  • Set up IT and tech for guest speakers, manage timing during sessions and help create a warm, organised learning environment.

  • Lead or support group discussions and activities.

  • Gather feedback and keep participation data up to date so we can keep improving our offer.

Programme Admin & Evaluation

  • Keep registers, spreadsheets and forms organised, tidy and accurate.

  • Support monitoring, evaluation and funder reporting across the department.

  • Ensure safeguarding, data protection and equality policies are consistently followed.

  • Be a helpful member of the team — ready to support sessions, events and last-minute needs.

  • Be open to working some weekends or evenings, with Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) provided.

About You

This role is office-based 3 days a week (with 2 of those days starting later and finishing later for evening delivery) and 2 days working from home. During school holidays, it will be 5 days in the office, with occasional Saturday work.

To keep applications aligned with the role’s level of responsibility, we are looking for candidates who either:

  • hold a completed degree, or

  • have 3+ years of full-time work experience

We’d love to hear from you if you…

  • Are organised, reliable and pay attention to detail.

  • Enjoy working with young people and supporting them to reach their goals.

  • Communicate clearly with participants, partners and colleagues.

  • Feel comfortable leading or co-facilitating group activities.

  • Are confident using Microsoft Workspace, Excel and general digital tools.

  • Can stay calm when things change and find practical solutions quickly.

It’s a bonus if you…

  • Have experience in youth work, education or the charity sector.

  • Have used databases or CRM systems before.

  • Are confident using Canva, Mailchimp or other basic design tools.

  • Understand the challenges young people face in London today.

What We Offer

  • 26 days holiday, plus bank holidays

  • A supportive, values-driven workplace where your ideas matter

  • Genuine opportunities for growth and development

  • A small, passionate team that cares deeply about young people

  • Team days and trips, mentoring and chances to shape your own interests within the role
