Volunteering: BtB x The Felix Project

Aged 14 or over? Looking to give back this summer? Join us.

Beyond the Bias has partnered with The Felix Project — a leading food redistribution charity — to offer a series of hands-on volunteering sessions this summer in East London.

Whether you’re a young person, a student, a parent, or someone in full-time work who wants to give back — this opportunity is open to anyone aged 14+.

You’ll support The Felix Project’s mission of ensuring that no good food goes to waste and no one goes hungry.

Whether you attend just one session or all five, you’ll be playing a real role in tackling food poverty in London.

This opportunity is open to:

  • Young people aged 14+

  • Parents, carers, older siblings

  • Full-time workers looking for an evening volunteering experience

  • Anyone passionate about community, food justice, or giving back

BtB Side Hustle Project

The Side Hustle Project is now open for applications! 💥

We’re running a FREE 40-week business programme for young women aged 16–25 who live in London. Whether you’ve just got an idea or you’ve already started something small — this is for YOU.

What’s included:

  • Weekly entrepreneurship masterclasses (with inspiring guest speakers!)

  • 12 months of 1:1 mentoring

  • £500 grant to launch your business

  • Help building a website, content & brand

  • Skills in marketing, finance, pitching & more

You’ll also become part of an amazing network of women building powerful, purposeful businesses.

👤 Who: Female-identifying individuals aged 16–25, based in London
🎯 What: A supportive, practical, and creative business-building journey
📅 When: October 2025 – July 2026 (masterclasses from Oct–Dec, then mentoring & launch support Jan–July)

🌞 SUMMER CAMPS ARE HERE! 🌞
Looking for something exciting and FREE to keep the kids busy this summer? Look no further! We’re running action-packed summer camps for children and young people aged 5 to 16 – completely FREE of charge!

🎨⚽ Whether your child loves getting creative or staying active, we’ve got something for everyone!

📍 Location:
Due to limited council funding this year, we’ll be running from just one central site – Island House, E14 3PG – the heart of Beyond the Bias. But don’t worry! We’re bringing the energy, art, giveaways, challenges and more all under one roof to make it an unforgettable experience!

25th July – 15th August (Monday to Friday)
🕒 Time: 10AM – 2PM


💡 Important Information for Parents/Carers:
🏷️ Have a HAF code?
Tower Hamlets Council has sent HAF codes to eligible families. You’ll need this code when filling out the form.
✅ Children with HAF codes will be prioritised and guaranteed a space.

📩 No HAF code, but your child receives free school meals?
Email a copy of your council letter to:
