Yoga for Teens

Beyond the Bias held weekly yoga sessions to provide a space where young people could learn about wellbeing, mindfulness and practise yoga, while earning a Level Three Reflective Journaling Qualification.

Yoga is known for its discipline and its creation of conscious awareness within the mind and body. It was a great opportunity for young people to come together and collectively learn the basic principles behind yogic philosophy, principles that help push passed their mind's limitations and have a safe space to talk about their mental health. These sessions became a home of growth for individuals and supported them in meditation and journaling, allowing them to understand the tools and resources needed to understand their mind.

Arfa aged 14 said “the qualification was really easy to do, and only took a few minutes in the sessions, I’m really excited to get it and really enjoyed the sessions too!”
